Hola Amigos, My son's (the person he is training)name is Elder Jimenez. But let me just tell you his real name because it makes me pretty happy! Oscar! Yeah this is fo real guys. Do me a favor mom and insert a pic of little Osci baby. So yeah my dog's name is Oscar too which is pretty dope if you asked me. He is from Queretaro, Mexico! I was really hoping to get a Mexicano because I just love the accent and the words/slang they use. He's 21. Anyway. We've been working pretty hard this week trying to find new people to teach. I've been trying to be a good dad in the process. I think I'm doing aight so far. We have a baptism either this week or next week. We don't know when it is yet because there is some conference thing on Sunday so we aren't sure if we can do it then. I'd like to say happy birthday to you Emma because the next time I write it will be one day after your b'day. I love you and I hope your birthday is dope! We encountered another bolo this week. I think I'm going to start doing a thing called Bolo of the week because we always have crazy stories with those dudes. BOLO OF THE WEEK! Attention this is the very first week of Bolo of the Week! I hope you enjoy. There were quite a few bolos this week but I'd like to choose one. I really wish I had a go-pro on for this one haha. So. Gulp. We were walking around trying to find the Zone leaders so I could do an interview for their baptism. I called them to see where they were and what was goin on you feel? As I was talking on the phone this bro comes up to me and I knew he was trippin HARD. It was hard but I ended up finding out where the zone leaders were at the same time as i was talking to this bolo. He was saying what is your moms name? do you love her? untill where? he kept saying untill where? untill where? I kept saying man you must be tripping I don't understand. I said my moms name was Rosalina. I started walking to the interview trying to get away. He followed us all the way there just asking weird questions. We arrived with the zone leaders and I could see them laughing because the bolo was right in between us. The bolo started talking to all 4 of us. He said hey who is that one president of that country? Finally someone came out of their house. It was a member. She let us in so we could get away from the bolo. He was like yeah I'll just be waiting for you guys out here. We went in for like 20 minutes and he was still waiting. We ended up bailing out this secret backdoor and we escaped. Thats all for this weeks Bolo of the Week my friends. See you next week. Well, the zone is diferent these days but it's still cool. Elder Roberts is my zone leader he was my Zl in guayape too. Hermana Cronin joined the party. I think she's from Mississipi or something like that. So it's been a fun week chillin with them. Oh also I had to give a talk in sacrement meeting yesterday and my son too. I talked about happiness and a little bit about member misionary work. I kind of roasted them but I mean they don't even help us so they needed to learn. In preach my gospel it says that working with the children of god will bring you more happiness than you can ever imagine. And this isn't just for this life but forever. So I challenged them to shine their light that they have recieved by living the gospel and to share it with someone else. We'll see If we pick up any references. I love you guys. Have a great week please. Elder Sullivan

Hola Amigos, Changes: I'm staying in my area as D.L again but I will be training a brand new missionary for 2 changes. I'm ready and pretty excited! Well I'd like to tell you about my P-Day from last week. I don't ever tell you guys about them because we don't usually do anything that cool. But this week we went to this bread factory that is owned by a member of the Area Country. As an entire Zone we bought ingredients to make pizza and brought them to the dude in the shop. He made us some pizza and we played some cards. It was a pretty chill time if you asked me. We encountered a little tad of problems this past week involving our house. To be honest our house is one of the nicest in the mission. (It might even be the nicest) BUT... There are always issues with the water. One day during the week we decided to clean out our pila because they get pretty nasty after a while. Which meant we had to empty it out. MISTAKE. The next morning we didn't have water in the shower or the toilet. P.S. Usually when this happens we shower with buckets from the pila. But do you remember what I said before Bro!!?? Yeah man! We didn't have a single dropling left! We went 2 days in a row without showering. The 3rd day in the morning we had had enough of this nonsense am I right?! So we grabbed our buckets and snuck down to our neighbors house. We filled up our buckets and finally took some showers. We eventually got our water back the next day. This week my comp and I had to go back to high school. There are some members that that live down the street from us. They are in school again so they have a lot of homework now. 2 Girls. One of them is in college and the other is like a junior. We went to their house 3 times this week to help them out. Clegg helped this girl with some english. I helped the other one draw some timelines and other pics. Also I helped their cousin with her english too. I guess you could call that service. Anyway. We did some real service for some members this week. There's a family that's building another house behind their house. So we had to come to help dig out some deep trenches for the foundation. We were there shoveling and pick axing for 3 hours in the heat of Honduras. I got really sunburned because I didn't put on that stuff. My comp is smart and he did. Also I have some nasty blisters on my hands. But we felt really good for helping them out. This Sunday was bad. Actually It was supposed to be really good. We had a conference that was being broadcasted in all of Central America. A couple dudes from the Seventy talked and Elder Cook talked too. The sad thing is only 2 people talked in spanish. The whole rest of the conference was in english. The bad part is that there was not a translator. My comp and I were the only ones that could understand what was going on. So. I made a decision... I ran up to the pulpit very bravely. I arrived in front of all the people and I was ready to save the day. I began to translate the conference perfectly in Spanish everyone was so happy and started cheering and chanting my name ELDER SULLIVAN!!! ELDER SUL...... Okay guys that didn't happen I'm not that cool sorry. They went the rest of the conference trippin because they couldn't understand. Dang. In the conference they talked about member missionary work and how the members are a big part in the Lord's work. They talked about the importance of the Book of Mormon. They did a test and asked some non members to read just 1 page of The Book of Mormon and write a paragraph or two of what they thought. A lot of them gained powerfull testimonies just from 1 Page! Imagine how much we could strengthen our testimonies if we read it on a daily basis! That's what I'm telling you. If you are not reading the B.O.M everyday. DO IT. The knowledge and the blessings we recieve when we read it are eternal and can help us spiritually and temporally. Gracias Have a good week! Elder Sullivan Hola Amigos, Buenas guirros! Como estan? Que bueno! Me alegra escucharlo! Wow. last P-day untill cambios. I'm sorry to say but I just don't have much to tell you guys this week. We helped another family move in Residencial Centro America with the district. It was a good time if you asked me. Our investigators are doing good and progressing. 5 of them went to church yesterday! We are going to put down some more baptism dates. 2 of our investigators, Elsa and Sarah, live together and are sobrinas. They invited us to their house for lunch after church yesterday. But I have to say that we ate something really creepy. Mondongo. I'm sure you don't know what that is... It was in a soup. The soups here are really sketchy because they just throw what ever they can find up in there. So Mondongo is Cow intestines. When they are cooked and in the soup they look like long tongues. 1 side is all fatty and the other side is hairy with white bumps on it. They gave us each a Masssssive bowl! It was sooo hard to eat and I almost threw up. Well. I'm sorry but that's all that happened this week. I hope everything is going good back in that one place. Have a good week!! Elder Sullivan Hola Amigos,
Sllloooowwww down kids! Are you really telling me that there's only 15 days left in this change!? Dang! No me di cuenta (I didn't realize) ! But really the time is passing soooo fast lately if you asked me. We did a few exciting things this week that I would reeeallly like to tell you about. First of all I have been sore this whole entire week because we helped some members from Residenciales move. We were lifting some deathly stuff. It was a great workout though. We got to go to the temple this week! Yeah I'M SERIOUS! The zone leaders asked the president for permission and he ended up letting us go! The temple here is sooo beautifull! It looks suuuper nice because all of Honduras is really poor and kind of demolished, but right when you drive through the gates onto temple grounds it's like you teleported into the states! It was a very spiritual experience and I wish we could go more often. I do have to say that this week went downhill in terms of Investigators and the missionary work. We had four dates for the 17th. Two of them moved to different areas. One of them started to visit a relative in another area on Sundays so he can't go to church. And the last one started working on Sundays. All of our dates are dead. We actually did put a new one for a kid that turns 9 this month. His parents are members but when he turns nine it is our job to dunk him, so the date is set for the 3rd of March. To be a truthful not much else happened this week, but I'd like to give you a scripture to read and study. It's Mosiah 2:41 - Listen. If you keep the commandments you will be happy. Not only in this life but FOREVER. Maybe it's a little more fun or easy to live a worldly lifestyle but you just have to think about the consequences. Are you really going to risk being happy for ETERNITY? Have a great week and por favor, mantenga la buena onda fluyendo (please keep the good vibes flowing). Elder Sullivan |
