Well it was a good last week in Tiloarque, but I got a call this morning telling me that I'm out of this grill. I mean come on 4 and a half months is enough, so I'm happy. I really enjoyed being with Elder Escamilla this change and I learned a lot from him. We worked hard the whole change and we received the blessings on Saturday with a baptism. Her name is Dulce Milagros and she has 13 years (Doesn't look like it), haha. She's almost Hailey's age and looks waaayyyy older haha. We should have had more, but things didn't turn out how we wanted. But we can't complain because one is better that none. It's gonna be sad leaving the area and saying bye to the members and investigators, but I know that the Lord wants me somewhere else now and I've completed what he wanted me to do in this area. I received an email from the church saying that I had to take a survey. So I took it. And turns out it was a safety survey and they asked me how many times I got mugged, threatened, or robbed and where I was when it happened, haha. I'm pretty sure I spent 30 minutes fillin that thing out because its happened so many times! So we went looking for a guy named Johan. He's 14 years old and apparently he had already gone to the church a few times. It was a reference from a member. We went to his house one night this week and we talked to him. We asked if we could share a small message with him and he accepted. We asked him if he had talked to missionaries before and he said yes. We asked who and he said Elder Valadez and Candia!!!! Elder Valadez was my trainer. He told us that about a year ago he went to live in Catacamas (my first area) for a while. I remember 2-3 weeks after I left my first area. I didn't baptize anyyyone there and Valadez called me and told me that he had a baptism. It was Johan! And then we found him in our area! Crazy stuff right!! Thats all I have to tell you guys about this week ! Have a good week! This is from a few weeks ago when we had lots of rain!

My zone Me and Bryson Childs This week was so dope! It started off with a multizone on Tuesday. I got to see Bryson Childs, Elder Santay, Elder Zapata, Elder Valadez, haha basically all of my homies in the mish. It was so dope. It's crazy to think that all of those guys are gonna go home in the next few months so I might be lonely for a while. The time is going by sooo fast! I'm about to have 15 months this Thursday! We were watching H.C.H (the news channel of Honduras that eeeeeeevvvveeerry one watches) and we saw that a group of 2500 Hondurans started a trip to the United States! Crazy stuff! There are even more caravans that are gonna go. We saw when they got to the border of Mexico and started goin ham and broke the gate open, haha. We focused a lot on our investigators that are progressing and that have baptismal dates. All of them have 3 or more asistences (attendances) to the church so all of them are able to be baptized this Saturday. There's 3 of them that are ready to be baptized. I'm excited to see the blessings of the hard work we have been doing here in Tiloarque. I was reading in Mosiah 5 this week and I found some verses that reminded me of the profets talk in general conference. I like these verses a lot because they tell us to always have the name of Christ in our hearts. That's something that we hear in the sacrament prayer too. It's so important to remember him and to follow him. That's why we are reminded constantly to do it. We need to serve the Lord and and follow him so that he will let us into his kingdom in the end. Working hard everyday! Where the homies play soccer.
A river in Honduras The house of Josue, my recent convert I really miss Krispy Kreme donuts! We found this spider. It's like the size of my hand. It was dead, but I put it in my backpack so I could scare a few people. Ha, ha. Not much to say about this week. Basically no one was in their house and if they were they rejected us. We only found 2 new investigators.... yeah its creep I know, but don't worry because all but one of our investigators went to church this Sunday! That means that we are going to have at least 3 baptisms this month, if not 4! We worked hard this week like always and the Lord was able to bless us with that. There's a crazy member in our ward that has mental problems, but he's suuuper dope. He does grafiti all over in our area but he writes good stuff about the church. We found a ton of it this week haha. He also preaches a lot in the street but about our church, so I dig it. Sorry creeds. That's all for this email. It was a reaaallly long week for us, but it ended up goood in the sacrament meeting. Here's some of the graffiti we found. It says: "Joseph Smith decided to ask God what he should do.
This week was pretty tough because every one was on vacation. Also it has been raining a lot lately so some people have had to leave their houses. We saw a vid on the news of a bunch of families that lived by a river just carrying their furniture out of their houses. Most of them are currently living under a bridge with their hammocks and blankets its pretty sad. In My area was in "alerta roja" so we arent supposed to leave are houses but our pres is pretty strict ya know so we worked anyway. At the very beginning of this change i said to my comp dang man i have a feeling that a huracan is gonna come in octubre and right now it looks like its coming true guuulp. This week i got to visit my converts from la pradera because i did intercambios with garcia my old comp. it was super cool to see that all of them are active. They all have callings too. one is the president of the abejitas i dig it haha. Anyway i have to say that the highlight of the week was general conference. Im diggin the revelation that the profet is recieving these days. I love hearing his testimony too when he says that this is HIS church and HE directs it. I know these changes being made were made by revelation from jesucristo and that they are for our good. I remember a talk from the last gen. conf by neil l anderson when he said we shouldnt be putting question marks after the things that the profet says instead we should be putting exclamation marks because it is direct revelation from god and it is for our BENIFIT. I loved so many of the talks this conference. But id say my favorite of all of them was by Neil L. Anderson when he was talking about our purpose here on this earth. We are here to be tested. All of the pains, dificulties, worries, trials, fears, everything is for our benifit. God loves us and isnt going to give us a trial too strong for us to handle and that wont help us gain experience and knowledge on this earth. I know this church is true, and i know that jesuschrist directs it through revelation to his servants. I know that the profet and his apostles are leading us in the right direction and toward exaltation and eternal life. Lets keep ourselves on the covenant path and try to see how god sees so that we can learn and prepare ourselves for the world to come. Love you guys have a good week!
Not much to tell you guys this week my comp and I honestly worked sooo hard this week every single second we were either in a lesson or knocking a door. We found another miracle investigator! He's 14 and his name is Yefri (yeah thats how he writes it guuuulllp). We found him 2 weeks ago while we were contacting. We have already taught him almost all of the lessons. He has gone to church 2 Domingos in a row! 1 more and he's in the water. He has been going to seminary and even went to a stake activity! Ayer! We gave him a Book of Mormon this week and he asked us really it's for me!? and we said yeah take it and he told us he had been waiting soooo long to have a Book of Mormon and that he was so interested in reading it. I know that we were led to his house the day when we contacted him and I know that he is the one God wanted us to find that day.
We went to the temple this week to do a session. It was sooo cool but now I can only go 1 more time in my mish. Gulp. We didn't take pics sorry, but I think my comp and I are going to take all our investigators there this week to see the gardens because almost all of our investigators want to go. This week we were going to teach some investigators the palabra de sabiduria (word of wisdom) and we entered in the house and every single one of them was drinking coffee! Even the kids haha. We still taught the lesson and they took it well. They said they were going to stop drinking it so thats nice. I was reading in Abraham and I have to tell you guys that it's got some crazy coool stuff in there and I had never read it untill this week. Also there is a hymn that talks about Kolob too and I found out that it's only in English, but I found a hymn book in English this Sunday and read it. Suuuuper cool stuff haha. Love you guys. I hope you have a good week and oh and also have a good week! |
