My last p-day when we played soccer with my old zone. Hey guys howve you been? This week was a tad bit sketch if you asked, but it all started off with a nice pday with the zone. We went to Denny's first. I got a burger with egg bacon and hash browns in it with fries on the side. I was soooooo full after. I could barely walk! I definitely eat waaaayyy more than I did before the mish because I've been forced to chow down on sooo many meals that didn't want. Here, in Hon, if you don't eat everything that someone gives you it's a lack of respect and it's telling the person that you don't like their food. You have to eat AAllll of it. So basically I eat everything that's on my plate even in Denny's where they don't care if you eat all of it. I still felt like I had to eat everything.
We have an investigator named Moreno. He's really dope. He already has a testimony and wants to be baptized, but he's had an addiction to coffee for his whole life. He used to drink it for every meal. But we've been helping him out a lot lately visiting him everyday bringing him Coke to drink instead. He's officially gone a week straight without drinking coffee. If he keeps it up he could be tized this Saturday. We've been praying a lot for him and we hope he can leave his addiction behind. This week we were walking by the soccer field and we decided to hit up a pulperia nearby. We got some glass Coke bottles, sat down on the bench and started talking to the owner of the store. It started all chill just normal conversation but we ended up contacting him. He asked us a few questions and we answered them. It turned into a full on lesson! People kept joining in to listen to us preach and by the end we were teaching a group of 8 adults! We were there teaching and answering questions for about an hour and a half. We felt the spirit for sure! Even one of the dudes listening said "Guys... cant you feel it! It's the spirit of the Lord!" and everyone was like "yeah I feel it!" ... Yeah me too . .. I feel it too wooow it's soo nice etc. my comp and I were smiling and pretty happy in that moment because we could feel it too. We ended up getting 8 new investigators! One night at about 8 we were walking by the field again and some kid like 16 years old called us over. He was laying down on a bench. He had his head resting on the lap of his girlfriend and there were a few other girls and some kids chilling there too. We were just talking casually trying to be their friends. We were talking for them for about 15 minutes but things started getting a little weird. All of them started pulling out gang signs from the 18. It's the most dangerous gang here. So my comp and I were like aight lets get out of here. As we were leaving the kid gave my comp a bro hug and then pushed him and he did the same to me. We were like dude chill out! We started walking away and he called us out again he said "you guys already know!" and he did the I'm gonna kill you sign with his hand moving across his neck. He started pulling out something from his pants but his girlfriend stopped him..don't talk to my girl again he said and made the sign again..... later that night we were waiting outside the house of a member that was gonna give us dinner but he wasn't home. We sat down on the stairs outside. About 5 minutes later that same group came walking up the street. He went up to my comp and acted like he was gonna pull out a gun from his pants but it was just his phone. I told him "hey chill dude were just trying to preach the gospel. We don't want problems and he was like aight we friends but remember and made the sign again... guuuuullp THAT SAAAAME NIIIIGHT after dinner we were walking home and a drunk dude called us over... we actually like talking to them now because they are sooo funny and we can just mess with them. he told us "hey, I have to tell you guys something" "I was in jail for a long time in Mexico do you want to know why" we were like yeah sure haha he was like "one day some guy was talking bad about my mom so you wanna know what I did... I took out my pistol and killed him" we were like WWWHHHAATTT man your crazy! WE bailed ahhaa. Anyway thats enough with the crazy stories am I right! I've been reading the Book of Mormon a lot lately. I'm in Alma and I'm reading about the sons of Mosiah. I like the part about Ammon when he decides to be a servant for the king. He was perfectly loyal to him and he was able to defend the sheep from the enemies of the king. The king's servants that were with Ammon in that time so they saw what he was able to do and they went to the king to tell him. The king asked where Ammon was and they said he was working and feeding his horses. The king was amazed by his loyalty and by what he did and wondered if he was the great spirit. He called Ammon to talk with him. Ammon ended up preaching to them and shared with them the gospel. I can really relate to this story as a missionary. We are here to preach but we have to be examples of the Savior first. We have to do service, be polite, and show our attributes of Christ to the people. When they see this they get the same impressions that the king had and they are interested in receiving the gospel in their lives. We did service this week and were able to gain a trust with the people and teach them a lesson. And that's something that happens all the time in my mission. I know that as missionaries we are here to serve not to be served. If we can lose ourselves in the work and try to serve as much as we can letting the light of christ shine from us, the people are going to see something special. Thats when the desire to learn about the gospel comes.

Not too much to say this week but it was a good one. We have been finding new ways to find people to teach and some of them are a bit creep but they work. We always contact in the street. I haven't even touched a door in this area. If we see kids playing soccer we join in and say if we beat you guys we get to teach you and we always win. Well, this week we got to play in an actual soccer game! With uniforms and everything. The thing is that basically half of the team are members so we taught them a little bit before the game started and then we played. My comp played defense and I played forward. I actually scored a goal and had an assist. It was pretty dope. This week I really wanted to help out my district because they haven't been finding that many jomis to teach, so we did these things called tsunamis. It's where everyone in the district goes to one area, they split off and contact for like 2 hours. We did one tsunami in La Divina and another in Zambrano. It worked well! We had a multizone this week and we learned a lot of good stuff. I liked when they were talking about making disciples of Christ. There are a lot of people that baptize just to baptize or to see how many people they can baptize in their missions. We have to focus on baptizing, it's true, but we need to focus on making disciples of Christ. Baptizing people that already have the habit of reading the Book of Mormon, praying and going to church. In my opinion it's better to baptize less if all of the converts are actual disciples of the Lord. We now have the duty to carry a Book of Mormon in hand at all times and we have to read it everytime we visit someone, doesn't matter who they are. I really think this is going to help a lot with the quality and efficiency of the work. Have a great week! Elder Sullivan Pretty fun week if you asked me! On p day we bought some stuff in the grocery store to make licuados. We didn't make them though. We just took the ingredients to a member's house and she made us licuados with Oreo and banana AND she made us crepes with Nutella and Oreo cream. Preeeeetyyy good stuff, but I felt really sick after and just wanted to eat pure salty stuff this week. We ended up helping the 4 sisters in Zambrano move to another house. They all live together. Anyway, they moved because they felt a bad spirit there. Their new house is actually really nice and before we left they made me bless it. I did an interchange in Tamara this week. It's a nice little place ,really green and good weather too. I was there with Elder Acebedo. He's from San Pedro Sula, Honduras. Really chill dude! I'm glad he's in my district. We've been teaching a player from the Olimpia soccer team, really famous team in Honduras. His name is Gerson. We met them on the bball court in our area. We played them in bball and then talked to them after asking if we could teach them. They said yeah no problem. His younger brother played with us too. He was wearing a dope jersey of Ronaldo on the juventus. I've been wanting that jersey. I complimented him and he said If you like it have it. I refused. This week we went to their house to teach the first lesson with them and it went well. After the lesson the brother came out with the Ronaldo jersey in his hand and said I was thinking about you when you said you liked the jersey so I'd like to sell It to you for cheap. I said 120? He said it's a deal... Just kidding man, have it. It's yours for free. I was like dude are you serious! Alright thanks! Dope guys! They even gave us lunch on Sunday. We've been teaching some good investigators in Ciudad Espana but they couldn't go to church this Sunday. This week we are going to teach them the sabbath day so that they'll go. I like this area and my comp is dope too! It's been a good change so far. Aight peace out guys have a good week. These are all the pics of me saying bye to my jomis in Tiloarque. My new companion, Elder Butler. My new area, Ciudad Espana. Daaang!! Craazy week filled with a lot of surprises. It was a little sad saying bye to my jomis in Tiloarque. I made a lot of good friends there but I got there deets to contact them so it's all chill. Anyway... the mish got a little stressful again but I dig it. I like the bigger responsibilities. Area: Ciudad Espana (Little town where all of the gangsters live so they don't get caught killing, smoking weed, etc) Comp: Elder Butler (Texas) Super chill, dope guy. Assignation: District Leader (In charge of 5 companionships haha as big as my last ZONE) I have to call them every single night but I'm already used to it. This week I got to meet a lot of new people, investigators and members. I've gotten a toooon of compliments on my Spanish and people keep asking me if I already knew it before the mish. I don't know what's up but I like it. My comp got sick this week on Friday morning. He was throwing up like crazy! He was throwing up and going to the bathroom all day so we didn't end up working, and diarreah too. I felt bad for him so I gave him a blessing. He's all good now but he's still crapping quite a bit haha. We went ham this week working like craaazy and found 18 new investigators and 10 of them went to the church! We don't ever knock doors here. We just find big groups in the street and teach them. If they're interested we ask them where they live so we can visit them. This area is reeeeaaallly small and kind of creep. It's called Ciudad Espana because after the Hurricane Mich in 1998 a ton of people lost everything they had including their houses, so a Spanish organization built a little city for them to live in. It's in the middle of nowhere and takes us an hour in a bus to get to the city. All of the gangsters live there and it constantly smells like weed. The sucky thing about this area is that we don't get that much food from the members so we have to buy food. There is not even one food place here, just pulperias with snacks so I basically survived off of that this week. But now that we're in the city I'm gonna buy some real food to make. I actually like the area. It's really chill and the weather is pretty nice. I hope to have a lot of success in this area and I know if we keep working hard the Lord will bless us with baptisms. Peace out. Until next week. Some pics of my new apartment. GULP. My face when I saw the bathroom.
