WEEK: 54
COMPANION: Sister Roozenberg AREA: Chã d'Marinha, Mindelo, São Vicente Hello everyone! This week was WILD!! But it started with the BEST family night with the BEST family in palmarejo norte. Definetly one of the BEST areas I've ever served in haha. I made American cookies :) said bye to a bunch of people and then... I FLEW TO SÃO VICENTE !! Normally I hate flying, but it wasn't too bad. But then someone picked us up from the airport and he said "bzot" instead of "nhos" and that's when I remembered the new creole lol We're whitewashing and covering 3 areas soo it has been a little rough. There hasn't been a baptism in over a year and all the members like just moved here, so this will be a transfer to remember! We walked around A LOT and talked to A LOT of people. São Vicente is actually pretty dope. There's lots of mountains, and it's super clean! It's basically like a praia 2.0, just a little smaller. The kinda sucky part is we're the only area that isn't in the city, we actually can't see Mindelo because there's a mountain blocking it. BUT we get to ride a bus to district council and that's pretty cool. I'm running a new Facebook page now :) anddd let's just say there's a lot of work to be done! Feel free to send some inspirational quotes this way !! Love you all JUGS AND BUCKETS FELIZ DIA DE CARECAS lol
