WEEK: 37
AREA: Achada Santo António, Praia, Santiago COMPANION: Sister Webb Heyyyy frieeendssss?!!! Wassupppp?!!! This week was HYPE (you'll see why if you keep reading). Sooo first off, Praia is wayyy different than Fogo. There's like buildings and real restaurants haha. I wanna say I feel like I'm in another country, but honestly I feel like I'm back in Cleveland lol. This week we had our SOCIAL MEDIA HYPE TOUR !!! Basically everyone here hates fb soo us and the office elders did a road trip all around the island and played Just Dance with the zones and gave a little training. It was actually pretty HYPE lolll It's kinda weird to be outside the Fogo bubble but I'm sure I'll get used to it soon. Other than HYPE TOUR, we taught a lot of lessons, marked a date!!! made a few posts, we officially have water now, anddd...we made a dope fantasy transfers trophy! Basically fantasy transfers is fantasy football, but instead of football, you fill out a transfer sheet of what you think will happen next transfer. (I won last time fyi). We designed some special passalong cards for the temple and started our 40 day English fast with the office elders! We all signed a contract and stamped it with all the official stamps we could find, and it's hanging in the office haha. Every English word is 5 push-ups soo we'll see who the weakest person is at the end of it, because really... they're the strongest. Get it?? We also started our English class and MAN these people wanna learn haha. I went from middle school teacher in Fogo to college professor in Praia lol So yessss very eventful week, I hope your was too! And I hope this next week is even BETTER love you all SO MUCHHH !!!

WEEK: 36
***TRANSFERS (and this time i actually have news) AREA: Achada Santo António, Praia, Santiago NEW COMPANION: Sister Webb Hey I'm back ! But... on a different island this time :)) This week was awesome! Monday the whole zone headed to the other side of Fogo and it was SWEET! We played soccer on a real big field with turf and it was A DREAM ! But Tuesday is where it gets real good ! I got transferred from Fogo to Santiago wahhooo ! It was a 4 hour boat ride, and we ate hamburgers at 9am right before. It was very windy, and we all puked lol. But if you don't have stories, you don't have anything :) I'm finishing Sister Webb's training and she's precious. Basically gonna be one of the best transfers yet here in the middle of the ocean! I also got called as the social media leader for the island soo I'm a little nervous about that... but I've got some ideas so we'll see where they go ! ALSO ! Sister Utley stayed in our apartment one night so that was kinda wild and fun! Just two St George girls livin the African life . Saturday Edmilson got baptized and it was THE CUTEST THING EVER!! Also at like 10 at night, we were "Chip and Joannaing" our house when all of a sudden we started hearing water. THERE WAS A WHOLE IN OUR WATER THINGY ! The office elders came over to help us (bless their hearts) anddd after like an hour we decided it can't be fixed. Soo, I'll keep you guys updated on that oneeee. YAY love you all I hope you have the BESTEST WEEK EVER ! and don't forget, if you don't have stories, you don't have anything ! WEEK: 35
AREA: São Filipe, Fogo COMPANIONS: Sisters Monteiro and Cobb Hey friends! Hope you didn't forget about me :) Honestly this week FLEW ! It started off with a dope split with Sister Lopes. It was the besttttt! We had everyone we saw in the streets write a question they had about life on the back of a general conference invite, and then flipped it over and promised that if they watched it they'd get their answer. A day full of MIRACLES ! We had a member Fábio show us some of his less active friends, and he saved our butts one night and taught a lesson with us and it was super awesome. I don't know how I did it, but I managed to burn a pizza, half a pan of brownies, and a cake this week :) I'd say that's a new record lol. We had another pizza night and we played Just Dance in our English class, and everyone LOVED ITTTT. I accidentally locked our keys in the house one day, so our neighbor climbed up to the balcony and through the window to save us lol. Saturday we showed up for conference and NO ONE WAS THERE ! There were like 6 of us so we watched it on on computer in one of the rooms in the church haha. Alsooo shout out to Kleiton from CABO VERDE WAAHOOOO !!!!!! Sunday it was just us and the elders, lol, but it was SO GOOD! Nelson's talk about temples just made me even more excited for the one they're building here! Okay love you all! Feel free to send me an email about your favorite part of conference :)) Até mais ! WEEK: 34
AREA: São Filipe, Fogo COMPANIONS: Sisters Monteiro and Cobb Oh HEY ! didn't see ya there ! This week was pretty lukewarm normal if I had to describe it as anything. Welll okay, maybe not lol... Monday was super duper fun! We headed to the volcano with the zone and president and sister Wunderli and the aps! We also hiked to the president of Cabo Verde's abandoned summer house here in Fogo, which was kinda cool. Also, it was like nicer than some of the houses here lol. Tuesday we had zone conference and it was so good! I just love seeing everyone and also just sister Wunderli is THE BEST! President says I getting transferred in a few weeks, but we'll see about that. We posted our general conference vid and it's doing so good! Feel free to like... share it! It would make me very happy :) We're almost done with the English connect class so that's pretty crazy! I'm just way so proud of my students, haha. Saturday Precila and Marcio got baptized. They're literally SO precious!! And then we had a DOPE family night at Marcio's house after. Pizza, ice cream, cake, gamessss! Literally the best. And Sunday was over all just a chill day. We made a dope video and we have like no food again so sister Cobb ate French fries for lunch lol. But yes I love you all and hope you have the BESTEST WEEK EVER !! WEEK: 33
AREA: São Filipe, Fogo COMPANIONS: Sisters Monteiro and Cobb OIII AMIGOSSS !!! another week in the books! This week was pretty good I'd say. It started off with a little more dope service on the other side of the island. We loaded up a bunch of lava rocks from the volcano, and then used them to landscape a couple gardens. It was pretty cool. We had district council with the whole zone, haha. Idk why but it was pretty fun, lol, and it was good to see the other missionaries that we don't see too much. Updates about me :) soo I ate pizza with tuna and corn as toppings and... LIKED IT, yep kinda odd, we've also been eating chepe a lot which is a type of food from guinea! I've never sweat so much in my life than these past few weeks, andddd my hair is still falling out, but I think I'm a little taller! Thursday we ate ice cream with the kids we found last week. They said I'm the queen because I'm pretty. Lol man they're PRECIOUS ! Saturday we had exchanges with the sisters in Congresso, so my child left the nest for the first time and... SISTER DANA STAYED WITH MEEE !! We had pizza with a member and then had a movie night with the ward. It was very super fun! And then Sunday sister Cobb cut my hair and after nine we popped popcorn and watched another episode of The Chosennnn wahhooo! It's SOO GOOD!!!! Okay yay I love you all and hope you have theee beessttteeeessssttttt weeeekkkkk eeevvvvveeeeerrrrrrr wwaaaaahhhhhooooooo !! |
