Sorry for not writing that much these days. I'll try and give you guys a tad more to read this week!
I'm a tad creeped because of the strictness of our president. He is interviewing every missionary in these first 2 weeks. So when President Ferman left the mission he sent home a few bros that weren't good missionaries to clean the mish and leave it good for Pres. Mejia. BUT... President Mejia showed up and the first time we saw him he told us I don't care if there's only 80 missionaries left in this mission. I want good missionaries. In the first week he already sent home 6. We saw one of them crying in a bus on the way to our interview. I was scared. I thought we were being good missionaries, but after our interview the pres said no more playing basketball in the mornings! We aren't allowed to play sports anymore except for on P-days. Well this week we received a supposedly reference of gold. The missionaries called us on Saturday and gave us the number of a lady that was very interested in learning about our church and going on Sunday. So we called her and we set an appointment at 7 that night. She told us where she lived and told us to call her when we got there. We arrived and called and knocked and called and no answer. The next morning, Sunday, we called her to invite her to church. She answered and she told me yeah I'll be there at 9. Wait for me in front of the church. We waited 30 minutes and she never showed. We called and no answer. we were pretty bummed, but we have 2 baptisms lined up for August. I've been pretty happy because a lot of homies say my Spanish is really good and if I didn't have brown hair and green eyes they'd think I was Latino. My comp says I pretty much don't have a gringo accent, it just soometimes slips out everyonce in a while especially when I'm tired. But I think that after another year I'll be pretty good I hooooope. I read a dope chapter the the bom this week. Alma 5. This chapter is a good machete and pep up talk to those that are falling behind in the gospel and not keeping all of the commandments. After reading this chapter it really made me look at things in an eternal perspective. A lot of times as human beings we get caught up in worldly things and we lose our focus of receiving eternal life. Thats why Sundays are so important. It reminds us to be thankful for our lives for Jesus Christ, and to commit ourselves to live righteous another week. And if we do it we will have the spirit to help guide us along the way. I invite you guys to read the chapter and imagine yourself in the situations it talks about. Have a greaaaat weeek!!!
